You Can Get Arrested for Trick-or-Treating If You’re Over 12 In Some Places

How old were you when you stopped going trick or treating?  I can honestly say that my daughters STILL go trick or treating! Some people have problems with teenagers going trick or treating, I have no problem with that honestly!  However, there's some people that have a really big problem with it, so much so that there's a law against it! I don't know about you but I think this seems like an extreme way to stop them!

Would you believe that there are a handful of towns where kids 13 and over who go trick-or-treating can actually get ARRESTED.

One of those towns is Chesapeake, Virginia.  They've got a statute that says anyone over 12 who goes trick-or-treating can be charged with a misdemeanor that carries up to a $100 fine AND SIX MONTHS in jail!

So, you know, if your teenager is planning to go trick-or-treating, you should probably go over the local city codes with them first to make sure they don't get arrested...this is just dumb!
