Yesterday, I turned to BET for the first time in a LONG time to watch Keke Palmer's new talk show, "Just Keke."

I found it interesting because she stated that there are no talk shows that are geared towards her age group, and she's right. I remember watching "Teen Summit" faithfully as a teen. While the show addressed some of the issues we faced as teens, it also opened my eyes to a more complex, more adult world. I often wondered why they took the show off the air, and I do blame the degeneration of the youth partially on the "entertainment" they're being fed.

Nevertheless, Keke Palmer's show was refreshing in that she plainly displayed her coming into adulthood while also enjoying her youth without being raunchy or explicit like some other former child stars have done as they've grown up. I would recommend the parents of teens to check out the show for themselves and introduce it to their teens as they see fit.

Perhaps this show is a step in the right direction as far as what's needed to mend the gaps between generations.
