Fear of Pit Bulls and Racism Akin?

When I arrived at work this morning, this was the first being I saw..... And it made me smile.

I got out of my car, and this big man kept a watchful yet sweet eye on me. It was almost as if he was on guard but welcoming at the same time.

I briefly spoke with his owner about him. We both agreed that pit bulls are some of the smartest dogs and that they behave according to the way they're raised.

We shared stories about our experiences with pits, and I've surmised that the people who say pit bulls are inherently bad are much akin to racists. You can't determine an entire breed is violent, based on a relatively few cases.
