It has been 4 years since we all had our worlds turned upside down. The tornado did more than destroy parts of Tuscaloosa, it brought a community together regardless of race or social status. I was honored to be able to attend a memorial for those that lost their lives in the Rosedale Housing Complex.

It was a vivid reminder that there is always hope. I was also able to speak with Jeannette Barnes one of the survivors of the tornado. Mayor Walt Maddox spoke of Tuscaloosa's determination and will to rebuild. It was then and still is now a day I will never forget.
