Topping the headlines this morning, is news of the gruesome attack in which hot grease was poured on a sleeping woman by her ex-boyfriend, 40-year-old Anthony Dwayne McGraw. McGraw was charged with first-degree assault and remained in the Tuscaloosa County Jail with bond set at $60,000.

A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit challenging the Alabama Accountability Act, which was brought by attorneys for eight public school students.

Toyota is recalling 6.39 million vehicles globally for a variety of problems spanning nearly 30 models in Japan, the U.S., Europe and other places.  No injuries or crashes have been reported that are related to the recalls, but there have been two fires connected to a defective engine starter.
