I've always been the kid who loves anything sweet. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays after Christmas. There's nothing better than eating a big bag of candy corn and watching old scary movies. I love seeing my Facebook friends dress their kids up as the newest princesses and superheros.

However, the creeps come out at night. So, here are some tips to keep you and your kids safe this Halloween.

1. If you're not passing out candy, turn your outside lights off. Likewise, if you see a house that is not lit, don't go to that house for candy.

2. Google search your neighborhood for sexual predators - stay away from those houses.

3. Stay in groups of three or more. Let someone know where you are at all times.

4. Only visit neighborhoods that you know.

5. Have a flashlight.

6. Do not walk in the street, stay on sidewalks.

7. When you get home check ALL candy, even if you know everyone in the neighborhood.

8. HAVE FUN!
