Today in Black Music History: Numerous Black Musicians Honored by Hollywood

On February 8, 1960, at least seven Black musicians received stars on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.

Duke Ellington, Al Hibbler, Eartha Kitt, Fats Domino, Jazz Pianist Eddie Heywood, Jazz singer Ella Fitzgerald, Harry Belafonte all received stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Each star is located near Hollywood Blvd or Highland Ave.
