2020 was a record-breaking hurricane season. There were so many storms in 2020 we ran out of hurricane names and had to switch to the Greek alphabet. Remember that?

Even though our area is pretty far inland, we do monitor our Alabama coastline. We know all too well the damage that hurricanes have done to the Yellowhammer state's beautiful beaches. In addition to the damage that hurricanes bring across our state after impact.

Growing up in Florida, before Hurricane season started, my family would play a hurricane name game. Whoever had the most friend names on that season's list had bragging rights during the entire hurricane season. For some reason, I believe this turned into an “adult beverage” game after I went to bed.

My name is not on the list, but I have 11 friends that do. Secretly, I’m most excited about Elsa being on the list. So that I can sing Let It Go.
