A sorority at a university located in central Georgia, has recently been caught up in a sex scandal allegedly involving pimps, politicians and businessmen. This sexual misconduct investigation comes after the chapter at the university was accused of running a sex ring and pimping out its pledges.

Alecia Johnson, graduate adviser for the Alpha Beta chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, resigned shortly after the investigation launched. According to Rolling Out, Johnson is accused of instructing pledges to have sex for money to cover the cost of pledging.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority has also issued a statement regarding the matter: “These allegations are in no way representative of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority’s 110-year service-based mission or its nearly 300,000 members. We condemn these allegations in the strongest possible terms."
