Alabama Baseball is Hoover Bound
According to Rick Pendley, Vice President of Alabama’s baseball booster organization, Alabama baseball is officially Hoover bound for the SEC Tournament. The announcement comes after a Missouri loss paired with an inevitable Auburn or Texas A&M series loss this coming weekend. Missouri will finish last in the SEC East and the loser of the Auburn/Texas A&M series this weekend will finish last in the SEC West standings.
The last time The Tide made it to Hoover was in 2016. Alabama played Kentucky in the first round and won 5-2. Bama then went on to play Mississippi State and lost 4-1.
This season marks Coach Brad Bohannon’s fourth year as head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide. He was a former assistant at Wake Forest, Kentucky, and Auburn before joining Alabama for the 2018 season. Coach Bohannon is 101-73 overall as a head coach and will make his first SEC Tournament appearance as a head coach this year.
Seeding for the tournament has not yet been announced as the regular season doesn’t conclude until the end of this month. The SEC Tournament will be hosted in Hoover, Alabama at the Hoover Met. The tournament begins Tuesday May 25 and the championship game will be played Sunday May 30.
