Wilson, 20, was in Pensacola, Fla., for his grandmother's funeral according to Charlie Potter of BamaOnLine. Wilson, suffered a seizure while alone in his cousin's apartment, fell and hit his head and was unable to breathe.

The Aliceville, Ala., native had dealt with seizures since the second grade but Monday's seizure was his first since March.

Wilson served in his role with the basketball team for one year. The Crimson Tide basketball managers started a Gofundme to support the Wilson family and alleviate funeral costs.

Alabama assistant coach Bryan Hodgson took to Twitter to mourn the loss of the manager and friend. The funeral for Wilson will be held on Saturday, June 4 in Aliceville.

Wilson's loss is the second student close to the basketball program to have passed in two years. Alabama lost superfan Luke Ratliff to complications with COVID-19 in the spring of 2021.
