I feel like we will all look back at the Summer of 2026 as a constant state of hot conditions, high humidity, and heat advisories.

James Spann, Alabama Weather Network Chief Meteorologist, has given us a heads-up to “expect some of the hottest weather of the summer tomorrow through Wednesday.”

Heat Advisory Details

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has already issued a Heat Advisory for Tuesday, July 28, from 10 a.m. through 9 p.m. This covers many Alabama counties, including West Alabama counties like Bibb, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Perry, Pickens, Sumter, Tuscaloosa, and Walker.

The NWS also mentioned concerns for Monday and Wednesday, and there is a chance that additional advisories will be necessary.

Dangerous Heat Builds

Residents should be prepared for concerning heat index values that soar each day. Today and Monday, the feels-like temperatures could reach 105 °F, and Tuesday could reach 108 °F.
