Alabama Splash Adventure Plans May 30th Opening

A local water park is set to open later this month. WIAT CBS 42 News reports Alabama Splash Adventure is planning to open Saturday, May 30th.

In a statement posted to the park's official website, owners said they'll be open an extra week and a half in August to make up for lost days due to closures forced by the novel Coronavirus.

Alabama Splash Adventure staff are taking extra precautions to follow Center for Disease Control guidelines to ensure the safety of their employees and guests.

"We are implementing numerous new cleaning and sanitation efforts including sanitizing nearly every surface in the park, adding sanitation stations for guests, as well as health screening for employees, and many more behind the scenes operational improvements," owners stated on their website.
