Former Crimson Tide running back, Bo Scarbrough, will be hosting a youth football clinic in Tuscaloosa for ages 7-18, giving young athletes an opportunity to showcase their talent and learn from some experienced veterans of the sport.

The announcement from Scarbrough, which came on Twitter Monday evening, says the event will be held at Central High School in Tuscaloosa on July 10, 2021 with the session for younger participants (7-14) going from 9 a.m.to 1 p.m. and the older participants (14-18) following from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Scarbrough, a native of West Alabama, attended Northridge High School in Tuscaloosa and played his first three seasons for the Jaguars. Prior to his senior year, the running back announced a transfer to Tuscaloosa County High School, a larger school in the area, but eventually landed at IMG Academy in Florida just two months later, where he would go on to earn five-star status.

Coming back home to Tuscaloosa, Scarbrough was forced to redshirt his freshman season due to a torn ACL in practice, but picked it up in his sophomore campaign, seeing time in 13 games, rushing for 812 yards on 125 carries and cementing his legacy at Alabama with a legendary Peach Bowl performance.

In his junior season, new faces emerged in the running backs room and Scarbrough took a step back, picking up just 596 yards on one fewer carry than the year prior.

A decision to forego his senior year meant Scarbrough would enter the 2018 NFL Draft where he was taken in the seventh round by the Dallas Cowboys but was released before the season. After a few short stints with other teams, including a brief starting role for the Detroit Lions, the former five-star's time in the NFL appears to be up and he is moving on to helping out other athletes.

Although his time at Alabama and in the NFL may have been somewhat disappointing due to his notoriety in high school, Scarbrough is someone who definitely knows the recruiting process very well and can help young athletes on their own journeys. This clinic is likely just the start of his plans to help local high schoolers make a name for themselves on the recruiting trail.
