Bryant High School Alum Declares For NFL Draft
Auburn University wide receiver, Seth Williams, will declare for the NFL Draft, according to Matt Zenitz of AL.com. Williams led the Tigers in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns as a junior. The 6-foot-3 receiver is a 2018 graduate of Paul Bryant High School.
Williams helped the Bryant Stampede win the Class 6A basketball state championship in 2017. He enrolled at Auburn as a 4-star recruit and was considered the No. 5 prospect in the state of Alabama.
While at Auburn, Williams hauled in 132 receptions for 2,124 yards and 17 touchdowns in three seasons. He is adept at using his size and physicality to attack the football at the point of attack.
Williams has made several big catches throughout his Auburn career, including the game-winning touchdown catch against the Oregon Ducks to open the 2019 season in Bo Nix's first start for the Tigers.
He earned SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Ole Miss Rebels this past season. In that contest he hauled in eight receptions for 150 yards and the game-winning touchdown.
Williams is projected to be a day two selection in the 2021 draft which would make him a second or third round draft pick. Williams becomes the second Auburn receiver to declare for the NFL draft, following the speedster Anthony Schwartz's decision on Jan. 2.
