When we lay our loved ones to rest, it is understood that they're going into the ground; but we still want there resting place to be representative of the lives they lived.

That's why we purchase nice caskets (which will be covered in dirt), we put kind words on their headstones, and purchase plants and flowers to adorn their graves.

Never do we expect that property to be overgrown and unkempt, but according to some, that's exactly what's happening at some cemeteries.

Is there no one assigned to maintain the grounds? Is this the responsibility of the deceased's survivors? How often do you visit the grave sites of your loved ones? Is the upkeep important to you? Share your thoughts with us.
