According to the new deposition, officers were called to the complex on reports of a shooting in the area and found a 38-year-old man near a dumpster on the property.

The victim was rushed to DCH Regional Medical Center in critical condition, where doctors found he "had approximately 10 gunshot wounds in the upper torso" area.

The victim was unable to speak with investigators to say what happened, but physical evidence and witness testimony led investigators to arrest 40-year-old Marquis Rayone "Ray-Ray" Brown for the shooting.

Brown was charged with attempted murder Wednesday morning and placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail. Because he was on probation on other charges at the time of the shooting, he is being held without bond.

The victim of the shooting remained in critical condition Wednesday morning.
