“There is a level 1 of 5 risk for severe thunderstorms Monday evening into Monday night across far northwestern Central Alabama,” said the National Weather Service in Birmingham.

  • Hail Up to a Quarter Size

Tuesday Outlook

The National Weather Service in Birmingham said, “There is a level 2 of 5 risk for severe thunderstorms Tuesday evening into Tuesday night across northwestern Central Alabama, west of I-65.”

  • Hail Up to a Quarter Size

Influx of Rain

James Spann, the Alabama Weather Network Chief Meteorologist, provided us with some positive news about the incoming rain. “Very beneficial rain is likely for Alabama and the Deep South. Rainfall amounts over the next seven days will be in the 3-4 inch range in the northern half of the state, with 1-2 inches in the southern counties."
