Find Out What’s Brewing at Tuscaloosa’s Newest Coffee Shop

The Tuscaloosa area is buzzing with new hot spots for food and drinks. Bite This! stopped by one of the newest coffee shops in the area.

We visited the drive-thru at Scooter’s Coffee in the Parkview Plaza Shopping Center located at 632 15^th Street, Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Presentation:

Scooter’s Coffee is bright and bubbly. We were greeted with southern charm and lots of information about the Scooter’s menu. The decision was a Turtle Latte and a Caramelicious^® Muffin.

Taste:

Iced Turtle Latte

The latte was pretty interesting and one sip was all I needed. They combine their “world-class espresso with decadent chocolate, velvety smooth caramel, and a touch of hazelnut to create this arctic taste explosion.”

It was a perfect balance of caramel, chocolate, and hazelnut. Also, the iced version was a great sip on that extremely hot day.

Caramelicious^® Muffin

When I asked what was the most popular menu item the server immediately said it was the Caramelicious^® Muffin. Scooter’s describes this hot menu item as a “freshly baked, soft muffin stays true to its sweet heritage: It’s drizzled with buttery caramel and waiting to delight you.”

It was warm and like a hug in a muffin. The caramel was not too overpowering.

Texture:

The Turtle Latte was nice and smooth with some fun notes. The muffin was a really nice touch to the morning. It was fluffy and buttery with a nice touch of caramel.

Value:

The pricing on these items was fair and comparable to other similar shops.

Overall:

Bite This! looks forward to the next visit to Scooter’s which will include the Caramelicious^® Blender and a Maple Waffle Sandwich.
