Forum Tonight at Weeping Mary Baptist Church: Human Trafficking
In recent years, the discussion on human trafficking has intensified as more instances have become public knowledge, and more organizations are working to not only raise awareness but to also decrease the number of occurrences in hopes of putting an end to the practice.
At 6:00 this evening, the Weeping Mary Baptist Church (2701 20th St) will host a conversation on human trafficking. Information on statistics will be shared in addition to recognizing red flags and learning what to do when faced with the possibility of victimization or should you encounter a situation where another victim may be suspected.
Their special guest will be Lieutenant Darren Beams of the West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force.
