We are watching the tropics closely. Now, we are monitoring Invest 95L. The reason this system is our attention is that it could potentially impact the Northern Gulf Coast next week. Currently, the National Hurricane Center has the "formation chance through the next 48 hours and five days at 70 percent."

As we wait for the development process Invest 95L, conditions appear to be conducive for development. This could mean there is the potential for it to develop into a tropical depression. If there is further development and becomes a “named” storm, it will be Zeta.

Here are the thoughts on the timeline for the next few days. By Sunday, it should be near western Cuba. Early next week slowly will move into the southeastern Gulf of Mexico.

I will continue to monitor this system and bring you updates as necessary.
