What is a Foodie?

To me, a foodie is someone that loves food and willing to try new things. Plus takes an excessive amount of food photos.

According to Glutto University, “foodies are hobbyists who actively pursue new and specific foods for fun, not to simply fill their bellies.”

I'm here for that.

There are people (foodies) that travel to Yellowhammer State to get some great southern treats. From our BBQ to our peach ice cream, there is something special about Alabama.

But, how special are we?

To create the Best Foodie Cities in America list, WalletHub said they “compared more than 180 U.S. cities across 29 key indicators of foodie-friendliness. Our data set ranges from cost of groceries to affordability and accessibility of high-quality restaurants to food festivals per capita.”

I’m gonna be honest this entire list made me MAD! No true southern states made the top 10. Atlanta, what I call the bougie south ranked #14.

Out of 182 cities, 3 Alabama cities made the list. WE WERE ROBBED. Wallet Hub ranked our beloved Alabama cities pretty low if you ask me.

Birmingham ranked #151

Mobile ranked #170

Montgomery #181

Now, I have to prove these rankings WRONG!
