It’s National 8-Track Tape Day
I don't know about you but, Eight Track Tape Day brings back fond memories of the sixties and seventies. During this era, eight track tapes ruled the music world.
I can still remember for Christmas getting the 'Dynamite 8' 8 track player and the latest Kool and the Gang tape.
It was eventually replaced by cassette and other formats for storing music.
If you still have tapes and a player, by all means enjoy the day listening to some great music.
If not, just spend a few minutes thinking back to a time when you loved your eight track tapes!
Eight track tapes were created by the jet maker William Lear in 1964.
8-tracks were being phased out by 1982, but were still available as late as 1988.
Those that can remember those days remember how great it was to listen to those 8 track players.
