After securing a win over Tennessee in Knoxville, the Crimson Tide secured a double bye for the SEC Tournament, meaning we won't see the Tide take the court until Friday, March 13th. Alabama looks forward to its final two regular-season games against Georgia and Auburn ahead of the SEC men's basketball tournament. Winning one of Georgia or Auburn gives Alabama the No. 2 overall seed in the SEC tournament. The Tide is currently a four-seed in most bracketologies for the NCAA tournament, but could rise to a three-seed with a strong showing to end the regular season and in the SEC tournament.
Alabama's leading scorer on the season is Sophomore guard Labaron Philon Jr., averaging 21.4 points per game. Philon has been nothing short of remarkable for the Tide, scoring the final field goal for Alabama on a turnaround jumper in the paint to secure what was the first time the Tide had beaten the Volunteers since the 2021-2022 season.
The Tide will travel to Athens, Georgia, on March 3 to take on the Georgia Bulldogs at 5:30 pm CST and host the Auburn Tigers in The Iron Bowl of Basketball on Saturday, March 7th at 7:30 pm CST.
