Alabama Postpones Arizona Game

Schedule updates for Alabama men's basketball for the 2024-2025 season have started to release, with Nate Oats and Alabama starting to schedule their typical tough non-conference schedule.

Alabama will play in a multi-team event that awards $1 million in NIL to players and the teams that play in the tournament. Alabama will play three teams out of a list of Houston, Oregon, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Rutgers, and San Diego State, and another team that is still to be determined. Alabama will play against Creighton at home and still have to be determined what team they will play in the SEC/ACC challenge. Alabama also has an unconfirmed game against St. John's in New York on the schedule for 2024. According to Jon Rothstein, Alabama also has a game scheduled now against Illinois in Birmingham for the 2024-2025 schedule.

Alabama was expected to play a game against Arizona in Birmingham in 2024, but those plans seem to have changed. Nick Kelly of the Tuscaloosa News reported that Alabama has pushed back its game against Arizona to the 2025-2026 season.

Alabama played in Phoenix, Arizona in what was considered a neutral site game on the schedule. Alabama is set to play another "neutral site" game against Arizona, this one played in Birmingham, in a return game for the Phoenix trip in December 2023. That game will now be played in December 2025, according to Kelly.
