Former Alabama quarterback Bryce Young won his first career NFC Offensive Player of the Week award after a franchise-high performance in week 11 of the 2025 NFL season. Young put on a master class against the Atlanta Falcons despite an ankle injury, throwing for 448 yards, the most in Carolina Panthers history (previously held by Cam Newton for 432 yards), and three touchdowns in their three-point overtime victory. Young has had a solid season for the Panthers this year, putting him on pace for his best career season. Young has thrown for 1,962 yards, with an average of 196.2 yards a game, on 62.7% completion, and 14 touchdowns through the first 10 games. Young has also been sacked 19 times this year, which sounds like a lot, but it represents a significant improvement over his previous years.

Bryce Young was arguably the greatest QB in the history of the Alabama Crimson Tide, although he was unable to bring them a national championship as a starting QB (won one in his freshman year backing up Mac Jones in 2020). Young's accolades and stats made up for the lack of a natty. With the long list of accolades, he does have the most important ones come in his sophomore year, being named CFP of the year, Manning award, Maxwell award, and, most importantly, being named the Heisman in 2021. He's also first in Alabama's season high in passing yards, 1st in Alabama's single-season touchdowns, 2nd in career passing yards (8,356), and 2nd in career touchdowns (80). In his Heisman year, Bryce Young had the best display out of an Alabama QB, having 4,872 yards and 47 touchdowns, which were both Tide records. Unfortunately, Young and the Tide fell short against Georgia in the national championship game, losing 18-33, where Bryce had thrown for 369 yards and one touchdown, but also threw two costly interceptions, ruining his dream season.

Bryce Young was selected with the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, but has had some pretty low lows in the NFL, even being benched at one point. His first two seasons with the Panthers were rough, going 2-15 and 5-12, but this did not halt his progression. Bryce is not only having his best season of his career, but also pushing for the best team success since he entered the league, being 6-5. Bryce Young has so much to show this league and is only showing signs of improvement every game.
