Overton marks the seventh Crimson Tide player to accept a Senior Bowl invite this year, joining running back Jam Miller, wide receiver Germie Bernard, tight end Josh Cuevas, defensive lineman Tim Keenan III, and linebackers Justin Jefferson and Deontae Lawson.

Overton, a 6-foot-5, 278-pound defensive lineman from Milton, Georgia, transferred to Alabama for his final two years of college after spending the previous two with Texas A&M. During his senior season with the Crimson Tide, Overton has totaled 33 tackles, six tackles for loss, four sacks, and one pass breakup, and has been a massive piece of the Alabama pass rush in his 12 games played for the Crimson Tide this season.

Overton recently dealt with an undisclosed medical issue that kept him out of Alabama's 28-7 loss to Georgia in the SEC championship and the Tide's 34-24 victory over Oklahoma in the first round of the College Football Playoff. According to reports on Tuesday, however, Overton has been cleared of his medical issue and is set to play in his first postseason game this season next Thursday, when Alabama takes on the Indiana Hoosiers in the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff at the Rose Bowl.
