What do NFL Draft Experts Think of Tyler Booker?
The NFL draft is this week, and with it, NFL draft experts are sharing their final thoughts on top prospects in this year's draft.

One prospect who is garnering a lot of attention is Alabama guard Tyler Booker. Booker, a two-year starter and three-year major contributor on the Tide's offensive line during his time in Tuscaloosa, will attend the NFL draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on Thursday, indicating the NFL thinks he could be drafted in the first round.
A guard prospect being drafted that high is not uncommon, but it typically comes with heavy expectations for that player. Booker was graded by the NFL's draft profile as a player who will eventually become a plus starter, but it will take time with the Crimson Tide guard.
The 6-foot-5, 321-pound guard from New Haven, Connecticut, was a captain for the Crimson Tide last season, starting all 13 games for Alabama. He earned First-Team All-SEC recognition as well as Second-Team AP All-American for his efforts in the 2024 season.
NFL draft expert Daniel Jeremiah gave his thoughts on Booker during a conference call with reporters last week. He was asked a question about offensive linemen at pick 25 (Houston Texans), where he thinks one of Booker or Texas offensive tackle Kelvin Banks is already off the board.
"I don't think they're both [Tyler Booker, Kelvin Banks] on the board. I think that decision would be made for [the Texans]. It might be a situation where they're both off the board at that point in time," Jeremiah said.
"Booker, to me, is a little more physical, has a little more edge to him," Jeremiah said when comparing Tyler Booker to Texas tackle Kelvin Banks. "Obviously, you're talking tackle versus guard. Pure grade-wise, I had Booker over him, but I don't know that there's a wrong answer there."
Should Booker be drafted by the Houston Texans, he would join several former Crimson Tide stars in Houston. Wil Anderson Jr., Henry To'oTo'o, Christian Harris, and John Metchie III all currently play for Houston. Former Alabama linebacker DeMeco Ryans coaches the Houston Texans.
