In West Alabama, we can expect a few rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms. The first wave of activity will occur this morning, with an additional round scheduled for this afternoon and into the evening.

Risk Levels, Areas, and Timing

The Storm Prediction Center has the entire state of Alabama under a slight risk for strong to severe storms for this morning and this afternoon into the evening. This risk assignment is also in place for Mississippi.

James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist said to keep in mind that “it won't rain all day, and some spots could actually miss the rain completely. Chance of any one spot getting wet today is 70-75 percent.”
