*NOTE* It's NOT the insect in the picture when you clicked on the story...the photo to identify is below!

I am very honest about my dislike of all things creepy and crawly.

Here I am, doing a little work outside my Tuscaloosa home, and I run into a...well...I am not sure what it is! Even more important, this is not the first time in the last few days that I have seen these around my home, garage, and outside.

So I call on you for help with identifying this thing.

I know what I initially thought it was until I looked a little closer.

Is it a Black Widow spider? That's what I thought at first glance.

However, a couple of things caused me to doubt that conclusion.

I tried one of those bug identification apps and they are ridiculously expensive! I'm talking $50 for a year or more than that.

No. Someone in West Alabama has seen one of these and knows if it is deadly or harmless. That is my only important question.

Yes, I have an aversion to spiders. However, it is based on the spiders that can kill you or tear most of your flesh off.

Call me a wuss, but I don't want to be around any creature that can do this.

Yeah, see what I mean.

OK, let's do this. I have a photo and a short video for you.

What is that thing?

Now that you have seen it move around a little bit, let us take a look at the photo of this bug. I don't know what to call it.

I don't want it in my house, regardless, but tell me what it is.
