The West Alabama Market welcomes two highly experienced commercial bankers to the area.

In a press release sent to Townsquare Media, Investor Bank  (“Investar”) announced two new hires, William T. Norwood and Stacey C. Ashe.

Both of the new hires are set to serve the West Alabama market. Their primary focus will be to expand Investar’s loan and deposit portfolio in their respective areas as Norwood will be a Commercial Relationship Manager in the Tuscaloosa, AL region and Ashe ]\ a Commercial Relationship Manager in the Livingston, AL region.

“We are pleased to welcome Will and Stacey to our Investar team. Both individuals bring extensive industry experience along with great community involvement to our organization," sad James Cochrane, West Alabama Market President according to the press release.

"We believe they will not only be great assets for the bank but also for the businesses in the West Alabama region.”

Norwood joins Investar with 13 years of experience in managing business client relationships. His commercial banking experience includes holding various positions at institutions such as Peoples Bank of Alabama, PNC Bank, and Valley Bank.

Will is a native of Butler, AL. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Alabama and earned a diploma from American Bankers’ Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Currently residing in Helena, AL, he is active in the community, serving on the Helena Teachers’ Assistance Grant Board where grants are disbursed to local teachers for various projects. He also recently served as a board member for the Shelby County Chamber from 2021-2024.

Stacey C. Ashe joins Investar as a Commercial Relationship Manager in the Livingston, AL region. Stacey has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry with her most recent role as a Loan Officer for Robertson Banking Company.

Stacey is a native of Demopolis, AL. She is a graduate of the University of South Alabama’s Alabama Banking School and also furthered her education at Vanderbilt University’s Commercial Lending School. Currently residing in Livingston, AL, she is active in the community as the current Chairman for the Sumter County Board of Equalization as well as the Association WMU Director for the Bigbe Baptist Association. Additionally, she previously served on the Demopolis Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors as the President.
