MBUSI Suspends Morning Shift’s Production After Worker’s Medical Emergency
Mercedes-Benz U.S. International suspended production at its Vance plant for part of the day after a team member experienced a medical emergency, the company confirmed.
According to a statement from MBUSI, the team member experienced a personal medical emergency unrelated to work earlier in the day.

Felyicia Jerald, a spokesperson for MBUSI, told the Thread in a phone call that a worker suffered a personal medical problem and was seen to by on-site paramedics until they could be transported to a local hospital.
She said that although they do not believe conditions in the plant led to the incident, MBUSI suspended production for the remainder of the morning shift out of respect for the team.
"Our Team Members' emotional and physical safety and well-being is our highest priority," the company said in a brief alert to the media.
Jerald told the Thread the affected worker started their shift around 6 a.m., and it would have ended around 3 p.m. She said the medical emergency happened around the lunch hour.
