Don't let the nice suits and the piano fool you, John Legend has always had a lot to say about socio-political issues and the quest for human rights, and currently, his focus is aimed squarely on controversial  attorney general, Jeff Sessions.

In a recent TMZ interview, John Legend gave his two cents about Jeff Sessions recusing himself from any investigations related to the campaigns for the president.

"He should have never been Attorney General in the first place," Legend answered when the cameraman asked him his feelings on Jeff Sessions recusing himself.

"He doesn't care about justice, he's got a history of racism and trying to deny black people the right to vote," he added, while walking and snapping pictures with fans. "Hopefully, he resigns and they replace him with someone better."

Jeff Sessions failed to disclose he had two pre-election meetings with Russia's ambassador during Senate confirmation hearings. Instead of admitting that he did not tell the complete truth, he recused himself from further investigations.

"I have decided to recuse myself from any existing or future investigations of any matters related in any way to the campaigns for President of the United States," Sessions told reporters.

President Donald Trump has made it very clear that he fully supports Sessions.

"Jeff Sessions is an honest man. He did not say anything wrong. He could have stated his response more accurately, but it was clearly not intentional," Trump said.

As calls grow for Sessions to resign it's clear who won't be shedding any tears if he does.
