The Grammy nominations were unveiled last week and as always, there seems to be a few snubs and surprises within the nods. R&B songbirds K. Michelle and India Arie weren’t nominated for any awards despite releasing impressive albums in 2013.

Both singers jumped on Twitter to express their disappointment with the Grammy committee for overlooking them for nominations.

We can understand K. Michelle's frustration. The 'Love & Hip-Hop' star's 'Rebellious Soul' album was one of the best R&B albums of 2013. Songs like 'VSOP' and 'Can’t Raise a Man' garnered major airplay on the radio. So why the cold shoulder?

Meanwhile, Arie also released a great project, 'SongVersation,' and since she's a previous Grammy winner, she expected to get nods as well. But now that the singer-guitarist didn’t received any nominations, she can't help think that the whole thing was meant to be taken as a snub.

"I've been getting lots of calls today. It's true, For the First time, I have not been Nominated for any of the Grammy Categories," she tweeted to her 300,000 followers. "I am Disappointed, I can't even lie. LOL! But I'm still processing this. And I KNOW FOR SURE! that I am on the CLEAR path of my destiny."

"And though I dont understand this yet, I know it will all make sense. It ALWAYS does," she continued. "And EVERY time, someone says, that they are inspired, or feel SEEN, or moved by my music, I am reminded of what REALLY matters."
