Lauryn Hill was dragged mercilessly on Twitter following her Pittsburgh show where she showed up three hours late to perform. On Wednesday (Feb. 1), the veteran rapper-singer went on Twitter and apologized for her tardiness.

“We apologize for the extremely late start last night, there were factors out of our control,” she writes in her message. “Due to the snow yesterday in NYC, half of my band, and some members of my crew, were stuck at LGA airport all day.”

L-Boogie explained that the promoters tried to tell fans at the venue and on social media that her show would start late but not everyone got the memo. In hindsight, Ms. Hill should have canceled the show altogether.

However, Ms. Hill plans to make it up to her fans. In her missive, she states, “We are working on scheduling another performance in Pittsburgh later this month, before the end of the tour, for the people who bought tickets to my [Pittsburgh show]. More details will be announced over the next few days.”

This should help quell fans who have long been frustrated with Lauryn Hill's tardiness at her concerts. Last May, she caused an uproar on social media for showing up so late to an Atlanta show.

Hill's “The MLH Caravan: A diaspora Calling! Concert Series” is expected to wrap up on Feb. 25 - barring any delays of course.
