Approximately 6,000 children in Alabama enter the foster care system, and many of these kids don't even have a suitcase in which to pack their belongings. Want to know how you can help?

The Leadership Tuscaloosa Class of 2020 is hosting a Duffle Drive beginning February 10th. Their goal is to collect 150 duffel bags and fill each with clothing, toiletries, and other items needed by children in foster care. You can help by donating a new duffel bag, items to fill the bag, or a monetary contribution to the Duffle Drive.

"Something as simple as a duffle bag can make a huge difference by giving these kids a sense of normalcy in an unstable environment," the Duffle Drive stated in its press release. "Not everyone can foster a child, but everyone can do something to support foster children.  A single $50 donation sponsors one duffle bag with essential items for a child."

Connect with Duffle Drive on Facebook to receive the latest information on the supply drive and ways you can help.
