
Police Officer Shot on I-65 in North Jefferson County
A suspect has been taken into custody after a police officer was shot in northern Jefferson County late last night.
WBRC Fox 6 News reports 37-year-old Preston Cheyenne Johnson was arrested after shooting a Kimberly police officer during a pursuit on Interstate 65. A Blue Alert was issued for Johnson before he was taken into custody.

The police officer, whose name has not been released, was taken to UAB for treatment of critical injuries.
