My Game Night Favorites

Game nights are so exciting to me.  I believe it is a great way to enjoy company, spend time with each other, and make fun memories.  I love game night when the game of spades is on the docket depending on who is my spades partner.    However, I’m not too fond of games where you have to draw out what you are making people guess because some people can’t draw.  [insert laughter]  According to YouGov, the study they conducted showed on what games that respondents felt like skill or luck was required to win.  Their research showed the following games and their ranks:

  1. Chess . . . 82% say game of skill, 4% say game of luck, the rest don't know.
  1. Checkers . . . 77% say skill, 10% say luck.
  1. Scrabble . . . 76% say skill, 9% say luck.
  1. Poker . . . 54% say skill, 28% say luck.
  1. Connect Four . . . 49% say skill, 21% say luck.
  1. Clue . . . 46% say skill, 23% say luck.
  1. Monopoly . . . 42% say skill, 46% say luck.
  1. Blackjack . . . 35% say skill, 44% say luck.
  1. Uno . . . 26% say skill, 52% say luck.
  1. Cards Against Humanity . . . 15% say skill, 19% say luck.

Take some time out this summer to set up a game night with your family, friends, colleagues, and maybe even the neighbors.  It can be a night filled with skill and luck ... but most importantly ... FUN!  Here is my collection of my favorite games that I roll out for game nights.
