Alabama returned to the practice field Monday after some time off for Spring Break and head coach Nick Saban updated the media on camp and the challenges ahead the next two weeks.

Before he addressed the performance of the team, Saban announced that defensive lineman Darren Lake had to undergo surgery for a pectoral muscle injury he suffered before the break. He'll be out for the remainder of spring practice but should return in time for summer conditioning.

The Crimson Tide has three more weeks of practice before taking the field for the A-Day game on April 19. Saban said he wants to focus on attention to detail as the new week begins but is happy with the performance and attitude of the team thus far.
