No Sense in Saying “Happy” 420

Let's face it, telling those celebrating "4/20" to have a "Happy" one would be kinda redundant. There's no doubt, they are indeed happy.  However, for those who are clueless about this unofficial holiday, allow me to enlighten you.

April 20th, or 4/20, is celebrated by those who use marijuana.  The most accepted explanation of the origin of 420 is that in the 70's, a group of students would meet at 4:20pm to partake. Within a decade, the 420 term was used across the world when discussing the herb.

In recent years, the fight for the legalization of medical marijuana has been intense, as many proponents suggest certain benefits of use for a number of ailments.  Many states have even legalized recreational use. CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta recently endorsed the use of raw marijuana for those suffering from PTSD as well as sickle cell anemia!

With as many issues that have come from the use of synthetic marijuana, I think it's only a matter of time before the government decides to package, regulate, AND TAX marijuana cigarettes. Just my opinion.
