Oprah Winfrey and Brad Pitt have teamed up to produce "Selma," a biopic focused on the voting-rights marches that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. led in Alabama.

The movie is said to chronicle three marches from Selma to Montgomery in 1965, the first of which was known as "Bloody Sunday." The protestors, who were attacked by police, were seeking an equal voice in elections. They later gained those rights with the passage of the Voting Rights Act later that year.

I wonder if any of the movie's shooting take place in Selma, AL. Time to put on my investigative hat. As soon as I know, you will too.
