Prices on the Rise: Where To Find Low-Cost Gas in West Alabama

Current gas prices are on the rise.

Back in April, gas prices were just a little over $3 a gallon and nationally they were $3.601. Now, prices are past $3.40 in West Alabama with some locations at $3.60.

According to AAA, the “national average is $3.824 and some states are past $5 a gallon.”

Why is This Happening?

“Last month’s extreme heat played a role in the recent spike in gas prices due to some refineries pulling back, but now operations are getting back to normal,” said Andrew Gross, AAA spokesperson.
