The nerves of Alabama fans very much on a rollercoaster ride, as they took on University of Florida, on Saturday Sept. 18. Bryce Young carried the Crimson Tide to a 31-29 victory. Alabama nation was on edge the entire afternoon as it was the first game in a hostile environment in almost two years.

This young quarterback preformed with poise as he threw for 240 yards and thee touchdowns. Florida's strong defense challenged the inexperienced quarterback causing some fans to doubt Young's ability.

In the second half Young led two scoring drives to keep the Crimson Tide ahead of the surging Gators. Young completed eight passes for 94 yards and helped Alabama score its final 10 points of the game.

The fans of the Crimson Tide began to watch the Bama start to slip after the first quarter, giving up a massive lead 18-point lead. Three first half three-and-outs caused concern for Crimson Tide fans, Young's lack of experience could keep the Alabama offense from performing to its full potential.

"The Swamp"  in Florida is possibly the toughest stadium that Alabama will face until the potential SEC Title game, but the young, athletic, Bryce Young has a lot to learn and many challenges to face until that time.
