Wilson Alexander of The Advocate in Baton Rouge has reported that the SEC has cancelled all athletic events. The SEC has announced all competitions on SEC campuses as well as championships will be suspended until March 30.

Alabama baseball was set to begin conference play against Missouri this weekend, that will be suspended until further notice. Alabama softball began conference play against Arkansas last weekend and was scheduled to host a round robin style tournament in Tuscaloosa this weekend.

Alabama baseball was scheduled to play Missouri, Arkansas, and Auburn during the month of March, it is unclear if these games will be rescheduled.

Alabama softball was scheduled to play Tennessee and South Carolina in conference play and it is also unclear if those matchups will be rescheduled.

The SEC is concerned about the spread of COVID-19 and in order to limit crowds gathering it has decided to halt all games and contests until March 30.
