The Propel Center was originally designed by Ed Farm, a nonprofit for advancing education through technology, with Apple and the Southern Company as founding partners. This program is meant to connect HBCU students across campuses and give them access to a variety of new curriculum options. New opportunities including AI and machine learning, agricultural technologies, app development, augmented reality, social justice, career preparation, and entertainment and design courses.

"The first-of-its-kind initiative will serve as a hub for all 100+ HBCU's, and is designed to connect students and faculty from across the community and provide them with the knowledge, skills, tools, and resources necessary to transform our nation's talent pipeline and workforce," according to the press release.

Stillman students will be able to access Propel Center's online platform anywhere at any time. In addition, students will have access to the Propel Center Atlanta headquarters, which offers state-of-the-art lecture halls, labs, and on-site living for a scholars-in-residence program.
