Weather Update for Friday, November 15th
Friday kicks off the sunshine for our area with mostly sunny skies. There a slight chance for some light rain in East Alabama this morning. Sunshine is in store for Saturday and Sunday. Friday, the high will be near 54, Saturday near 58, and Sunday near 61. Friday night, the skies will be clear with a low around 32. Saturday night, you can expect a low near 33 with mostly clear skies. Sunday night it will be mostly clear with a low near 36. Next week is shaping up to have more seasonal temperatures.
In good news, the National Weather Service reports that drought conditions are diminishing across portions of Central Alabama. In their synopsis, they state that “the latest U.S. Drought Monitor indicates that drought conditions have improved significantly across Central Alabama. A small area of Severe Drought is still found over portions of Chilton County. Surrounding this area, a diminishing area of Moderate Drought is still found from southern Shelby, western Chilton and Autauga counties east to near the Auburn area. Elsewhere, Abnormally Dry conditions are found in the remainder of southeast Central Alabama. Over remaining areas, conditions are generally near normal.”
