Alabama gymnastics put on a show in Seattle Thursday afternoon. Shallon Olsen earned and tied her career-best scores on balance beam and vault with a 9.950. Luisa Blanco performed on the uneven bars and scored a 9.900 while Makarri Doggette may have retweaked her ankle injury on her bar dismount. She still scored a 9.900, however. Griffin James made her competition debut on floor in place of Blanco and scored a solid 9.875. The Crimson Tide along with Michigan State will compete Saturday at 7 p.m. against the top two teams from session two Thursday night.
Alabama gymnastics etched their name into the history books with their second overall score of 198 or higher in the same weekend. The Tide's next meet will be on March 19 in Birmingham for the SEC Championships.
