The Hewitt-Trussville Huskies (4-0, 2-0) pulled away from the Tuscaloosa County Wildcats (1-3, 0-2) Friday night to secure their second straight region win.
While the thermometer still registers in the high-eighties, going into week four makes it feel more and more like fall and football season. Not all Tuscaloosa-area schools are competing in area matchups, but there are still some big games to look out for.
In what started as a defensive battle full of fumbles, the Demopolis Tigers (3-0, 1-0) took down the Central Falcons 40-24. The Tigers had a rough half, losing three of their four fumbles. Demopolis coach Brian Seymore helped his team turn that around in the second half with four touchdowns, three of which were unanswered in the fourth quarter.
