Temperatures Remain Steady, Thunderstorms Expected This Weekend Across Alabama
A heat advisory remains in effect for all parts of Central Alabama until Saturday at 7 p.m.
In addition, severe thunderstorms are expected to begin Saturday and will likely lead into Sunday.
James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist said "all 67 Alabama counties are in a "marginal risk" (level 1/5) of severe thunderstorms tomorrow. Heavier storms will be capable of producing strong winds and some hail."
The National Weather Service in Birmingham said "scattered showers and storms are expected again this afternoon, with the best chance of organized severe storms coming on Saturday."
