The 2021 Inauguration is upon us after the legendary celebration from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. I know Dr. King would be very happy this week as we celebrate new leadership in President-elect Joseph Biden and the first female African American Vice President-elect Kamala Harris as they take over the nation at a pivotal moment in history. The gospel industry and community is celebrating in a big way by hosting the 2021 Gospel Inaugural Celebration.

This two-hour virtual event features performances from inspirational music artists to celebrate the January 2021 Inaugural of President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris. The Celebration lends a voice of hope, unity and healing to the world.

The need for unity in this country is more necessary now than ever before. The National Baptist Convention has partnered with producers, Terk Entertainment Group and OCTET Productions, to produce “The 2021 Inaugural Gospel Celebration: An Evening of Inspiration and Unity".  The event will be one to cap of a great Inauguration day.
During the event, a number of the nation's top gospel artists and high profile celebrities will join together for a cohesive, COVID-Compliant celebration to give viewers a semblance of healing and optimism during this time of crisis.

The new president and vice president will be attendance and the event will also serve as a great fundraiser for the National Baptist Convention's "I'm In" program which helps the African American community deal with healthcare issues especially during the current pandemic.

The event will feature gospel artists, Fred Hammond, Tasha Cobbs, Tye Tribbett, Marvin Sapp, Deitrick Haddon, Titus Showers, Todd Dulaney, Leandria Johnson, Jokia, J.J. Hairston, Spencer Taylor & The Highway QCs, Koryn Hawthorne, Hezekiah Walker, Jonathan McReynolds, Bryan Popin and more. The host will be Anthony Anderson and presenters include Shirley Caesar, Taraji P. Henson, Morris Chestnut and Laman Rucker.
